Hormone focus: Oestrogen

So we have a hot topic here (pun intended). Let's talk about the decline of oestrogen.

As women hit their early 40's, their hormone levels naturally start to fluctuate, including the levels of oestrogen. This can lead to a whole host of symptoms that are about as fun as getting a root canal on a Monday morning.

Hot flashes are one of the most well-known symptoms. That feeling when you're  in the express line at woollies and suddenly you feel like you're standing in the middle of the Sahara Desert? Your body temperature rises, your skin gets all red and blotchy, and you start to sweat like a pig in a sauna. That's a hot flash.

But wait... Oestrogen decline can also cause vaginal dryness. Yep, you read that right. It's like the Sahara Desert decided to move from your internal thermostat to your nether regions. This can make sex uncomfortable or even painful.

And let's not forget about the mood swings. One minute you're feeling happy-go-lucky, and the next minute you're ready to Hulk-smash the nearest object. It's like PMS on steroids.

So, there you have it, lovely goddesses, the decline of oestrogen can lead to hot flashes, vaginal dryness, mood swings, and other fun symptoms. But, fear not, there are treatments available that can help alleviate these symptoms and help you feel more like your fabulous self.

Show Up and Reboot are designed to help balance hormones and to support your adrenal system, which is crucial during this time. More about your adrenals in another post, but taking care of this system now can really pay dividends later.
